Kevin and Emily 08.04.07

We love the chance shooting close to home. It was nice to see so many familar faces and see a couple that was in love. It was so refreshing to walk to the wedding from our home. Usually we deal with traffic jams, outrageous parking fee's and every know an then a security guard kicking us out of some property. Not on this day, it was just a very peaceful saturday afternoon. Washington, IL the greatest little city anywhere that Julia and I call home.

We wish you guys all the best!

New Photographer at Portrait Life

With four children being around the buisness everyday they have all shown intrest in following in mom and dad footsteps. However I was surprised when our 8 year old Jozi actaully wanted to go buy a camera. So she took money out of her savings account went out and bought a cheap little point and shot. She has had so much fun and we have seen a new side to jozi that I for one have not seen. She has always been the one that has such a free spirit not a care in the world. It has reminded Julia and I of how important it is to look through the eyes of kid. They see life differently. When I asked her what did you like about this picture and why did you take it she said "I like the way the light was falling on the the building" I had to tell her later that it was actually a toilet but thats another story. However that was a pretty profound moment for a dad let me tell you

Here is her image shot in St. Michael, Maryland.
