That time of YEAR!

If you are a client you should be getting this mailer in the next week. However, if your not and you want to take advantage of this fall special, just contact our studio. We are very excited about our new Christmas card designs for this year. We have given our creatives the green light on design. With your ideas and our creatives we can produce a card that is fun, hip and with a personal twist! (sounds like a good martini) ;v)

It is so interesting how many people talk about Christmas cards even after all the egg nog is gone and grandma's fruit cake is being used as a door stop!

Out of the Studio for a Bit.

Julia and I head to Boston today where we will be speaking at the PPANE convention. We are looking forward to hanging out with our good friend David Jay (dj as we all call him). This guy is one of the brightest photographers I know. He has a zeal that is very contagious. I hope some of it rubs off on Julia and I!

I thought I would leave you with a fun session that we photographed this week. We are seeing a huge rise of pet sessions in the photography industry. Matt Hodgman and his wonderful wife Kristin came all the way from Minneapolis to have us photograph them and their "baby" Bentley. Matt and Kristin happen to be a pair of awesome photographers specializing in Senior portraiture. When had a blast and were so honored that they wanted us to photograph them and their baby. haha

TAG! were it.

As a kid I hated this game but, love the new spin on this old classic. A bunch of photographers have gotten together to play tag with other photographers. The purpose, to let you inside our world a bit more and get to know us a little better. Sounds like fun! So here are 10 things you may not of known about us (it was suppose to be 8 but we were having so much fun we could not stop).

1. We started our business in a mobile home. (not just any mobil home but, a repossessed mobile home)
We have always believed in "despise not the day of small beginnings".

2. I am an only child and Julia is in the middle of 7 siblings. (I am spoiled and she is patient)

3. I could not even drink at my own wedding (I had just turned 20 a week earlier)

4. Julia and I actually started a sports mission organization in 1996 called Sports Alliance International.
We took high school athletes over to Europe to compete (basketball) and speak in schools about
making right choices and shared our testimony about what God had done in our life.

5. A local photographer here in Peoria actually got us in the photography biz. He saw something in us that
he later said was different. He believed in us and will be forever grateful.

6. We home school our 4 children. (Video school)

7. I actually have more shoes and jeans than Julia! haha
(I am the spender and Julia is the saver)

8. Julia was a bando (trumpet player) and I was a jock (all-state b-baller) at rival schools.
(i had to throw that All-State in there)

9. ADDICTIONS- My addiction is espresso (about 6 a day) Julia's is ice (8 cups a day)

10. Relationships are vital to our well being. Time with God, family and friends is the key
to a happy life. Even though at times I must admit, they get out of balance. We unfortunately listen to who screams the loudest which tends to be the everyday needs of running a business.

Thanks to Twany Williams for tagging us and letting us play.
